Kevin and Lois Angier have lived in their home for 37 years and have constantly made improvements over the years. Before this project, the heating system was baseboard electric with cooling by window AC units. They were looking to eliminate the need to be on a ladder to install the window units but also wanted to make their home more comfortable.
After reviewing various options provided by their contractor, Kevin and Lois decided to install efficient ductless air source heat pumps (ASHP) that provide both cooling and heating. For this project, they received an efficiency rebate of $2,083 from Litchfield Public Utilities. In addition to the rebate, they should see significant savings in their monthly electric bills.
Kevin and Lois shared,
“This was a quality installation, and the contractor answered all our questions. The air source heat pumps are much quieter than our old window units.”
