We have an incredible team with years of longevity on our shop floor. Continuing education is an important factor in developing, and keeping the skills of our employees effective. Not only does continuing education satisfy some of the requirements of certification, it also standardizes education levels between our employees. Our workers have come to us from different educational and work experience backgrounds. Having “in house” training classes ensures that all of our manufacturing people have had the same level of exposure to manufacturing related topics. Some of the courses we have, or will be studying include Print Reading, Advanced Print Reading, 5S, and Shop Math. A beneficial “side effect” of training is we get our folks together in the same room to discuss problems and solutions, and build a sense of teamwork between our different work centers. Besides that, it is fun to learn new things!

Safety has become an important part of doing business. There are obvious financial and productivity benefits to being a safe company, but it goes deeper than that. Employees appreciate that the company is looking out for them, and they in turn look out for each other. CCI has focused on cultivating a safety conscious attitude throughout the company, and our injury rates have shown that it’s working. We have an open door policy here, where employees feel free to bring up safety related issues, and they know that Management will listen. This coupled with regular safety training, incentive programs, and a safety committee composed of Management and employees have helped CCI near its safety goals. Happy and healthy employees are the backbone of a happy and healthy company.
